Building a pipeline full of customers can be one of the most challenging tasks you face as a salesman. It is difficult to determine the best way to get your name out there and how to establish rapport with the community around you in order to generate your pipeline. The technology in our cars has advanced and so has our ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with the public. Use these technologies to develop your pipeline of customers.

Auto Sales Training Tip One: Current Customers, Future Sales Don't ever sell to a customer thinking it is the only sale you will ever make to them. By treating customers with respect, dignity and integrity, you can make a customer for life. Consider this: you sell a new car to a twenty something year old college graduate. You treat him well; get him a good price and excellent customer service. Who do you think he will buy his next car from? When he gets married and starts a family and needs a bigger vehicle where will he go? If you treated him fairly he will come back to you as a lifetime customer.

Car Sales Training Tip Two: Referrals from Satisfied Customers Selling one car to one customer doesn't have to end there, nor does it have to end with that customers buying from you again and again. It can and should lead to referrals. Good referrals can generate a steady stream of customers who may also be repeat customers and will also generate referrals. Using fraternal organizations or other social groups is one way to do this. By putting yourself in social situations, you are automatically generating interest and name recognition. Another way to do this is through the online community. Social networking sites work just like 'real life' networking and will allow you to effectively generate customers if used properly.
