Biodiesel Expansion Saving the Environment

By Keith Lamn

Biodiesel expansion is a perfect solution to the world's energy concerns, in theory. However, there is much more research to be done. The U. S. And many other countries rely on other countries to provide most of the fuel which they use. This along with concerns regarding the results of the long term use of fossil fuel, causes the country to strive towards developing alternative fuel choices.

Fuel costs have reached an all-time high. This is another reason that alternatives are being searched out. Many people struggle just to feed their families. The extra added costs for fuel has had a serious negative effect on many families. People have great concerns regarding the greenhouse effect and the long-term affects of the use of fossil fuels.

Ethanol is made to the use of vegetables. In fact the highest percentage of vegetables used in can manufacture of ethanol is corn. This is a true renewable energy which is widely available and can be reused many times. You can be sure that this is just the beginning of many more environmentally responsible innovations.

The idea of having a fuel available which is commonly available to everyone as a household item, is truly amazing. It is very exciting indeed to find that used cooking oil for example might be used to operate your automobile. Who wouldn't be excited about this fantastic innovation?

Unfortunately, evidence has shown that the process of creating this bio diesel in fact can create more pollution than that of fossil fuel. This is not to say that this discovery is without great value, rather that it does not do enough to combat the "greenhouse affect". Another negative implication of the use of bio diesel, is the affect that is has on food crops. Because many farmers have chosen to grow corn simply for the purpose of creating this green fuel, the cost of food in general has increased globally.

The experts at bio diesel development continue in their endeavor to perfect this process, in order to make it more environmentally friendly. New techniques and innovations are being tested on a daily basis. Even the US government and many of the world's governments have become involved in the search for renewable green energy.

Corn base ethanol has opened the door to the future when it comes to renewable energy. As a result, algae, soy beans and many other "plant matter" are being used in the production of bio diesel. There are certainly many new green bio diesel ideas on the horizon.

With the amount of work that is being done today, we can expect to have a future where green choices are mainstream. This certainly will open the door to the use of water power, wind power, solar power, and any other natural resource being considered before one has been traditionally used. - 21392
