The Jeep Grand Cherokee Cannot Be Ignored
There is no doubt that Jeep wants its customers to have an extreme experience. Having said that, it should come as no surprise that Jeep Grand Cherokee has received more than a scintilla of attention from both automotive retailers and general magazines and websites on the subject. The site gives the same vehicle a "4x4 of the Year" and other awards. It performs well on highways as well as on rugged roads. It is also a mid-size vehicle with powerful engines.
The Grand Jeep Cherokee was unveiled in 1983. Compared to other traditional SUVs, the Jeep Grand Cherokees looks like other cars. The compact size has been maintained since 2005. However, more features have been added since 2007. In 2007 new diesel engine options were added. Beginning in 2001, the Cherokee had a V8 five-speed automatic engine. In 2002, Jeep introduced three additional trim levels i. E.; Special edition, Sports, Overland, a 265 HP V8 and more features. The V8 engine was the better choice as it provided more power without much sacrifice in fuel economy compared to the six-cylinder.
Since this is a vehicle made by human beings it had some problems, like the 2005 model. The problems were door glass sticking, moaning, poor tracking, and acute radio signals. But the entire problem was resolved soon after launch. The Cherokee paved the way for later models. Jeep was experimenting and developing a brand new car which would change the face of the industry. The Cherokee provided this opportunity. Later models like the Jeep Commander were much more stable and reliable.
The engine choices range from mild to wild, with the HEMI engine topping the charts at 320 Horsepower. It only costs a couple of miles per gallon over the 3. 7 liter V6 and 4. 7 liter V8 engines, but has better responses. In 2007, the Cherokee 2007 came with a diesel engine option for customers, giving it quite a new level of speed, and improved mileage. The active suspension and fast-acting automatic four-wheel-drive is very helpful in negotiating hemi-spherical corners, where a lot of experience is needed. The Cherokee performed well on this front. Hemispheric corners cause considerable skidding and swing-out tails. Even without electronic doodads, the Grand Cherokee negotiated corners very well.
Various models would come into existence over time. As from 2007, later models were much improved. Like the ZJ series (1993-1998) - the Base model had a complete set of instruments, a cloth interior and par-for-the-course 5-speed manual transmission. The later WJ models (1999-2004) saw their spare tyres relocated from the side of the cargo compartment to underneath the floor. The WK models of 2004-2010 have 4-wheel drive and rear-seat DVD player as standard features.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee has been upgraded since 1983. There is no doubt that Grand Jeep Cherokee's interior is full of luxury. One of the new features is the climate gadget. This gadget is used to control climate, with only a finger stroke. There are buttons located on the board. These are the rear park assist deactivation, pedal force, the tow haul mode, and several other features. In short you can say this vehicle is fully automatic and able to control each and every function at the stroke of your finger.
The 2009 model of the Jeep Grand Cherokee is equipped with powerful features. Improved engine capacity, fuel efficiency and rear wheel drive. A full leather wrapped dashboard, real wooded interior and heated steering gives it a comfortable environment. In my opinion this jeep is a wonderful invention in the Chrysler line-up. It doesn't make sense to go for any other SUV than this fully-fledged Jeep.
Jeep will launch a modern Grand Jeep Cherokee in the year 2011. The 2011 model will have higher mpg, better quality, fresh styling and more. Most probably Jeep will start production in January 2010, so sale should be underway in the month of summer or spring. Can't say exactly about the prices but would be roughly in the range $30, 500. 00 to $46, 000. 00. All standard features will remain the same. - 21392
