Take Care Of Your Car: Apply Car Wax Or Car Polish

By Helen King

Though a lustrous car is what everyone wants, caring for a car is rather tough. If you want your car to look as good as new, increase its longevity, or clinch a really good resale price, you should devote some time and energy to take care of it.

Excessive use of the car can spoil its gleaming look as a result of the car being grazed by scratches, making it appear old and unattractive, particularly if the paint is also fading. A full-fledged car care routine including car wash, waxing, and car polishing can bring back the shine of your vehicle.

The first stage is to get rid of all the grime on the car by cleaning it with a good cleansing liquid and water, after which you need to put a layer of either car wax or polish on the body. There is a great deal of confusion among car owners over when the car should be polished and when to apply car wax. Being the owner of the car, it is essential for you to have an idea of the kind of makeover required by your car.

Car wax is a mixture of carnauba and other wax variants, which give the car exterior a wet and sleek appearance. However, car waxes lack abrasive agents and so they cannot clean the more prominent stains. Moreover, they are not resistant to extreme heat.

However, car polish contains substances like Teflon, which increase its strength, giving an ever- lasting glossy appearance to your car. Polish is also much more effective in hiding stubborn marks and scratches.

When polishing the blend edges, work away from the boundary. The most advisable process for a blend edge is to hand glaze rather than machine polish. When you hand glaze, use a soft clean cloth.

If your car has to deal with dust and grime on the road daily, car polishing is usually the best protection. Car wax provides your car with a temporary gloss for some occasions, but it is not a very good protection on a regular basis. Therefore, you have to figure out the needs of your car keeping in mind its model and your lifestyle, and then go for a solution that not only gives your car a brand new appearance but also makes it suitable for prolonged use. - 21392
