Can an Automobile Run with Water?

By Brendan Sommers

When I first heard about a way to run your car using nothing but the standard water/H2O you find in your tap, needless to say I was incredibly skeptical. With high gas prices the way they are these days, this seemed like the kind of information I would have heard on the news, because it appeared to be a way to run your can on water using nothing but a small engine addition that you build yourself. It took me a while to realize that one of the reasons I had never heard about this before was because the oil companies and the government have done whatever they could to keep this thing silenced.

This technology uses parts available at almost any hardware or automotive shop. Using detail instructions found in the many guides, you can use your car or truck's battery and create a hydrogen powered hybrid that will use HHO gas to save you thousands of dollars in high gas prices as well as help clean up the environment.

This system is known as HHO gas, and it uses a converter to discharge hydrogen directly from standard water and use it for fuel. Essentially, your car's power is coming from both gas and water, making it a makeshift hybrid car. The technology is so simply that people rarely sell the equipment - instead, they tend to simply sell guides, as these guides are good enough to allow any individual to create it themselves rather than be forced to pay the huge markup costs.

1) How safe is the water hybrid conversion process? Very safe, as proven consistently by the auto experts. To put it in perspective, you'd have a much better chance of injuring yourself pumping gasoline than getting hurt while performing this easy conversion! Safety is first and foremost so follow the directions exactly as they appear in the manual. Do not keep a flame near the work area, as hydrogen will definitely burn the daylights out of you if ignited!

When you decide to power your car with water, the full will be free of combustible gas as well as keep your engine healthy. Your engine will experience relief from stress, and your car will be able to last much longer thanks to this alternative fuel method. You will not only be saving money on gas, you will also be saving money on car maintenance.

2) Does this water fuel technology work with all automobiles? Absolutely! It can be applied to any type of gasoline-powered car or truck. Now, it works fairly better with fuel economy vehicles. If you drive a large SUV or truck, get rid of it! This is because you may not see as large of a jump in fuel economy as light-weight, less fuel-demanding cars / trucks. I suspect in a few years America will be like many other countries, in that, SUV's will be a rarity because they will be out of reach for the middle class.

There are several manuals featuring ways to create a hydrogen powered car. They represent possibly the only chance of allowing you to save money on gas in the short term. And since gas prices are simply not going to decrease any time in the near future, investing in one of these manuals has the potential to save you thousands of dollars each year you use the system. They are growing in popularity every day, and it's time for you to consider utilizing their amazing potential soon.

Whether you want a cleaner alternative energy source or you simply want to stop paying such high prices for gas, you can accomplish both by learning to how to run your car on water. Making the technology is easy, cheap, and will take you just a few hours. - 21392

NASCAR Legend David Pearson: The Silver Fox

By Ross Everett

The Darlington Raceway in upstate South Carolina is considered one of NASCAR's most challenging tracks. It's shaped like an egg and has earned the moniker 'the track too tough to tame'. That applied to everyone except David Pearson, who won 10 races and took 12 poles at Darlington. These records will likely never be challenged, let alone broken. Pearson's ability to get around the track was almost instinctive. In fact, he made it look easy.

David Pearson was born on December 22, 1934 in Whitney, SC"a textile town near Spartanburg. Like most of the locals, his parents worked in the local cotton mill and did their best to provide. David dropped out of school after the 10th grade to work in the mill, but soon quit that life as well--he was drawn to racing cars and began running at short tracks in the Carolinas. He ran his first race on 9/19/52 in Woodruff South Carolina. Within a few years, he won his first championship at the Greenville"Pickens Speedway in 1959.

Pearson never sought out stock car racing immortality, but some of his friends had other ideas. They began raising money to buy a car to race in the NASCAR Grand National series (the forerunner to today's Sprint Cup). With a patchwork of financial backing, David began racing a limited schedule on the Grand National circuit and was named the 1960 rookie of the year. In 1961,he attracted sponsors and started to race a full time schedule. Not long after, he was considered among the best in the sport winning Grand National titles in 1966, 1968 and 1969.

In 1972, he started driving for the Wood Brothers in the #21 car that he was to make a legend. In 1973, he won 11 races in 18 starts"an incredible feat even by todays standards. He cut back his schedule in those years to focus on superpeedways. Through the end of the 1970s, Pearson won 43 races. In addition to his mastery of Darlington, he posted remarkable numbers all over the circuit. He is one of two men to have won more than 100 races, and his 105 is second only to The King Richard Pettys 200 wins. Hes also second on career poles (113) to Petty. Head to head, however, he has a slight edge over NASCARs legendary King: in races where he and Petty finished 1-2, Pearson won 33 to Pettys 30. His 11 consecutive poles at Charlotte is a feat that will likely never be matched. Another record that may never be broken is his 18.29% winning percentage, as well as his record of starting from the pole in 20% of the races he ran.

In March, 2000, SC Highway 221 through Spartanburg County was renamed David Pearson Boulevard in his honor. He lives in Spartanburg to this day. Pearson still takes to the track occasionally--he and current NASCAR driver Carl Edwards were the first to race on the newly repaved Darlington Raceway last Spring. We should all hope to be able to run with a 20 something NASCAR driver when we're in our mid 70's. Incidentally, he got the nickname Silver Fox due to his prematurely gray hair and cunning style behind the wheel. - 21392

Driving School - Get Your Driving Licence on Your First Try

By John Robertson

There are many benefits to taking a course at a driving school. The most important factor when taking a driving course is the fact that you will learn how to correctly drive, in a safe manner that will not endanger anyone else on the road. Many drivers that learn from their family or friends will actually have a difficult time passing their driving test and may need to take it several times. This is because your friends are passing their bad driving habits onto you.

The best reason for attending driving school and taking driving lessons is that you have a better chance of being accident free and driving safely as you have been properly taught. This means that even as a beginner you may be a better driver then many other more experienced motorists. Many times bad training or even a lack of training will result in several accidents.

In order to have the confidence you need when driving it is important to start well before taking your drivers exam. This means actually enrolling in a full course and allowing enough time so that you can comfortably learn all of the rules and actions of driving without feeling rushed or forgetting things. You will find that many car insurance policies will insist on an adolescent taking lessons from a recognized driving school before allowing them on the insurance.

You will also find that many car insurance policies will require young adults to participate in a driving course before they can be put on the insurance as younger drivers under the age of 25 are considered a high risk.

Driving lessons from a driving school will also help you pass your driving test. Many drivers are not able to pass their driving test on the first try and driving lessons will make it easier for you to pass the test on the first try rather then taking it over and over again until you finally pass.

Most insurance companies will also offer lower rates for individuals that have completed a driver's course. This can be a great money saver particularly if you are under the age of 25. It has also been found that the majority of individuals that pass their driving test on the first try have partaken in some sort of driving course. Others may take 2 or 3 or even more tries before they can obtain their license.

Most high schools will offer some sort of d riving course, as high school is the age when most teenagers can get their license. This is a great option, as the driving course will fit neatly into your child's schedule without creating extra confusion by being outside of school hours where it may conflict with other extra curricular activities. Besides obtaining their license the student also may be graded on the course, which can supply extra inspiration to do well.

There are many places that offer driving lessons and you simply need to find your local driving school. Many times the registry of motor vehicles will have information on driving schools and obtaining lessons. You can also check at your local YMCA or community center. There are many benefits to taking driving lessons and you will be glad of them when you pass your drivers test on the first try and see a decrease in your car insurance. - 21392

Convertibles: After the Rain

By Kate Kew

Before I begin to tell you my story, you should know that I am employed by a wholesaler who sells adult diapers (among other things). Part of my job is to deliver adult diapers to local charities; health clinics and hospices, so it is normal for me to have a few packs of adult diapers in the back of my minivan.

My father owns a beautifully restored 1969 Chevrolet Camaro convertible and he loves it more than life itself. Somehow, a few weeks ago, my kid brother was able to talk our father into loaning him that muscle car icon for a Sunday afternoon. My little brother picked up his girlfriend and came over to our home and we all piled into our minivan for a local excursion. Unfortunately my kid brother left the top down on the Camaro and - you guessed it - while we were gone it rained a torrent. We returned to find the floor of the vehicle submerged in over 4 inches of water. Right about then my Dad called to say that he was coming over for dinner and that he would be arriving in ten minutes.

My brother had already started bailing water with a miniature pink pail that my daughter had loaned him from her toy box when I suddenly realized that I had the perfect answer - adult diapers! I quickly pulled a pack from my own vehicle and we all tore into it, submerging the absorbent material into the water. Even though it was my idea, I was astonished at how effective this was. I had read about the absorbent polymers that are in diapers, but to see it in action is simply eye-popping. Eight diapers soaked up all that water in about 40 seconds. I used a couple more diapers to get as much liquid out of the carpets as I could while others used paper towels to get little drops here and there. Hair dryers finished up and were just being unplugged when Dad was spotted coming down the street in his old pickup truck. He still does not know about this incident.

So keep your top up when you're not driving your convertible. And if you want to plan for an emergency, you could do worse than hiding a few adult diapers somewhere in your car. Be careful though, because if your woman finds these types of panties in your car, your sporty image may suffer a little collateral damage. - 21392
